About Sydney Davis Santa Fe

A well-known philanthropist and activist, Sydney Davis contributes to a number of nonprofit and charitable organizations throughout New Mexico and the United States. A resident of Santa Fe, Sydney Davis and her husband, Andrew, donate their time and money to organizations that promote childhood education, the arts, and environmental preservation.

Active with a number of nonprofit organizations, Sydney Davis serves as a member of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Advisory Council at the University of Texas. She is also on the board of directors of Oceana and the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe. Over the years, Ms. Davis and her husband have made a number of financial contributions to help fund local organizations and charities. In 2012, Andrew and Sydney were named Philanthropists of the Year by the Albuquerque Journal. Formally lauded for their efforts at the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation’s Glamour and Gauze fundraiser, they were praised for their generous donation of $500,000 to the hospital foundation and for a $1 million contribution to purchase and renovate the Hiland Theater in Albuquerque for the National Dance Institute of New Mexico.

Outside of her philanthropic efforts, Sydney Davis has 20 years of experience in jewelry design. Her work is featured at LewAllen & LewAllen Jewelry in Santa Fe. She has also contributed many pieces of custom-designed jewelry to nonprofit organizations. .

Before relocating to Santa Fe, Ms. Davis worked in Washington, D.C., for financial institutions Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and Price Waterhouse. While working for Fannie Mae, she was responsible for implementing the firm’s first industry training program that provided professional development for over 2,000 employees. Sydney Davis has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Marketing from Georgetown University.
